Based out of Flint, Michigan, SGI Heating and Cooling was founded in 2014 by Scott Gormley. SGI is a full-service HVAC provider, specializing in residential add-on and replacement equipment.
SGI is proudly the authorized service provider for The Home Depot, serving 38 stores across Michigan and 5 stores in Northwest Ohio, and 1 in Indiana. SGI strives to give their customers the best five-star experience imaginable by focusing on precision, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

These guys were phenomenal! I am always hesitant to use the companies contracted through Home Depot, but these guys were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, … More and went above and beyond. There were minor things that they could have ignored or just skipped, and they installed my new furnace and A/C as if it was their own house. They walked me through everything and made sure that I was satisfied before they left. I will tell everyone to use SGI for their heating and cooling needs. It's nice to know that Home Depot has some good people working with them. Not to mention that they were about $3,000 to $4,000 below the other estimate I got, and there were no extra costs at the end. I couldn't be happier! -

About the Owner
Scott Gormley was born in Jackson, Michigan in 1956 and lived his entire childhood in southeastern Jackson county. He began his career employed by Hilltop Plumbing and Heating during the summers following his junior and senior years of high school.
He graduated from Manchester Community Schools in 1974. After graduating, he attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. There, he earned his Associates Degree in HVAC Science with distinction. His first job was Behler-Young Company in Flint, Michigan. After five years, he was hired by TRANE Company and worked for independent and factory-owned distribution for 19 years.
Scott enjoys his life with Collette and their blended family of five incredible sons. Golf, big cities, a glass of wine, and a good friend are a few of his favorite interests. Scott describes his eternity as being at Camp Douglas, a special place made by God and developed by one of His best hands.
